I am a psychotherapist and advanced practice registered nurse. I have been working as a psychotherapist and RN for 38 years now. My profession of psychiatric nursing is driven by the great desire to make an impact on people’s lives. I also believe in the power of words, which is why I write blogs as part of my work as well.
I think it’s important to be able to communicate with my clients, whether they are adults, teens, or children. This website is where I share my skills, compassion, understanding and knowledge.
I want to provide warm, caring support for women and others; people who are struggling with difficult situations in their lives, including depression, anxiety, perinatal mood and anxiety, life transitions, anger issues and personality disorders. I also offer support for caregivers of all kinds.
In this blog, I will be writing about various topics related to mental health and psychotherapy – from understanding psychiatric diagnoses to therapeutic relationships and much more!
There are so many therapeutic approaches available to the mental health profession, with each one having their own benefits and drawbacks. You are welcome to contact me, and I will detail my therapeutic approach and how it may be a good fit for you.
Understanding the differences between these approaches could help you to find the best therapist and treatment that is right for you.
I wish you only the best, with happiness, and good health as we all forge into the unknowns of 2022.
